Intel launched vPro processors for Business PCs in this new year

Intel has unveiled its 2010 Intel Core Duo processor family to meet the needs of businesses of all sizes for PCs with larger, more flexible performance, prevent theft and savings in a rapidly changing business computing environment. These and several other capabilities are the core of many new Intel-based business notebooks and desktops start rolling out from computer manufacturers worldwide.

Intel Core Duo processors arrive as business computing evolves with the advent of video, Internet telephony, social networking and other intensive applications - in many cases, are running at the same time - to make a computer's performance an even greater priority.

"Businesses, especially those who have not purchased PCs for several years, facing a computing environment that no longer handle many applications and IT workers are adopting," said Rick Echevarria, Vice President, Intel Architecture Group and General Manager, Business Client Platform Division. "The integration of predictive performance with smart safety and cost-saving management features of Intel Core Duo processor family provide IT and small businesses a no-compromise platform. We are also pleased how Intel vPro Technology allows the flexibility to look at client virtualization, consumerization and rich cloud applications. "

The platform is based on 2010 Intel Core Duo processor family includes the new Intel Q57 Express chipset and new Intel 82577LM Gigabit Network Connection for laptop computers and Intel 82578DM network connection to desktop PCs.

Computer manufacturers worldwide, including Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo and Toshiba, are rolling out business PCs based on 2010 Intel Core Duo processor family. Moreover, small developers of software solutions and medium enterprises (SMEs) and companies such as Aternity, Bomgar, Kaseya, LANDesk, Level Platforms, LogMeIn, Microsoft, N-Able, Sand, Spiceworks, Symantec and WinZip will support the new features in their upcoming products. IT suppliers, including AT & T Tech Support 360 and PlumChoice, plan to adopt Core Intel vPro technology capabilities in their SMB offerings.

The processors are based on Intel's award-winning "Nehalem" micro and manufactured on Intel's groundbreaking new 32-nanometer process. Intel has integrated high-definition graphics of its processors for the first time, and incorporates Intel's second generation high-k metal gate transistors that contribute to increasing computing speed and battery life.

2010 Intel Core i7 processors and i5 Core processors feature Intel Turbo Boost Technology and Intel Hyper-Threading technology for flexible, "smart" computing. Intel Turbo Boost Technology automatically adjusts the speed of the processor when it detects a workload change - faster, when the user, for instance, is multitasking or watching a video, and slower, more energy-efficient when the worker goes to the coffee and only background applications running.

Contribute to industry-leading speed and efficiency of processors Intel Hyper-Threading Technology associate with multiple processor cores with multiple "threads" that allow faster processing of instructions in parallel.

Using standard benchmarks, a 2010 notebook with Intel Core i5 vPro processor can drive business productivity applications up to 80 percent faster1, more programs up to twice as fast, and protect confidential data up to 3.5 times faster compared with a 3 -- annual mainstream notebooks.

Acer debuts green and biodegradable notebooks

Acer is getting greener, at least according to Greenpeace. The computer maker introduced two new notebook on Friday that they have already received the honor from the international environmental group. Acer Aspire Aspire 3811TZ and 3811TZG are designed to be energy efficient, recyclable and biodegradable, so winning high marks from Greenpeace, which rates computers and other electronics for their environmental friendliness.

As part of its green initiatives, Acer said it was built two new tends to be without PVCs (polyvinyl chloride) and BFRs (brominated flame retardants).

PVC is cheap, but durable plastic which has been criticized by Greenpeace for not biodegradable and broadcasting toxic substances into the environment. BFRs are chemicals added to plastics to make them flame resistance, but they were also accused of leaching into the environment. Their use in products for babies and children, especially the issue of many groups. With the exception of power cables, all the components for both aims without the toxins.

"Chemical characteristics of PVC and BFRs May create toxic substances such as dioxins and furans in the products' end-of-life, thus reducing PVC and BFRs in Acer products will help protect our environment from being poisoned by electronics goods," Acer said in a statement .

New aims are also designed to reduce energy use - both models can save up to 40 percent of energy consumption than traditional portable computers, providing more than 8 hours of battery life, Acer said. Furthermore, the company designed units that are easily recycled. With more than modular parts in traditional notebooks, users can extend the life Apires replacing certain components.

Part of Acer Chronology series, two notebooks are targeted as CULVs (consumers ultra-low voltage). These laptops are typically as small and light as Netbooks, but deliver more power and performance with more memory and use Intel's Core 2 Duo processors. (We're still working on getting the specs and photos.)

Acer first promised in 2005 to eliminate PVCs and BFRs in all its products by 2009, the goal that the company still achieved. Although Greenpeace hailed the new Aspire models, the group still gave Acer only score 4.5 for a scale of 10 environmental friendliness in a report published on January 7 The company received a strong effort in trying to reduce the toxic substances from their computers and monitors. Netbooks popularity is expected to continue in this year 2010 also

Small and Low cost "netbooks" Some of the most popular computers of the recession, wooing consumers with its portability and that prices were often below $ 400. Now with the economy improving, consumers will be asked to open wallets for new styles of computers, including some costing a little more.

Among the new offerings are being disclosed this week at the International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas: lightweight, medium-sized laptop in question as a step above netbooks in price and performance. There will also be at least one "smartbook" - on a tiny computer that together elements of netbooks and so-called smart phones.

That is not to say the netbook reached the end of a line. Audience PC including Hewlett-Packard, Lenovo and Toshiba are expected to show out a new netbook offerings with features like touch screen and the latest Intel Atom processors, which give better performance on smashing the previous fueled initial period netbooks.

But the netbook has the demand on the industry price: narrow profit margins for chipmaker Intel Body. and computer manufacturers.

For many PC makers, is the rise of netbooks in question fall in revenue and profit from computer divisions. Hewlett-Packard Co., the world's largest computer maker, gets the third part of the income from a business PC, but just 15 per cent of the company's operating profit, the numbers are shrinking thanks to netbook sales and price reductions on the other machines.

And how successful netbooks that appetite for true mobile computers, consumers will likely find many more power, more portability - or both.

Never from Taiwan-based AsusTek Computer Inc. acquired the ongoing craze netbook with 7-inch EEE PC in late 2007, consumers are gravitating to the devices. According to data from research company Gartner Inc., netbooks made up about 10 per cent of all PC shipments in 2009, up from 4 per cent in the previous year.

The devices were small screen - generally 7-11 inches, compared with around 14-17 on medium-medium-inch laptop - and often less-than-normal keyboard. Jobseekers keep PC prices down by avoiding extras, such as driving DVD and Bluetooth wireless connectivity.

Netbooks involved a companion devices that could slip in a purse or backpack for on-the-go Web surfing, although many consumers it was only on the computer they bought in 2009.

But only those people who buy netbooks as secondary computers, and people buy them as a computer but will end trading up to more powerful machines, said John Jacobs, the analyst at market research company DisplaySearch.

Therefore, the growth in sales is likely to slow netbook coming years. While netbook shipments to retailers more than doubled in 2009 to 33.3 million, compared with the previous year, shipments should rise but 19 per cent to 39.7 million this year, according to DisplaySearch.

Besides netbooks, consumers can expect to see in stores some proper devices above and below the small laptops in the price, size and serve as computer companies try to expand on the market. Much of this exposure on even CES, as Google Inc. announced its own smart phone is widely expected, the Nexus One.

Lenovo Group Ltd. is banking on so-called "smartbooks," is meant to combine the continuous Internet connectivity and long battery life with a smart phone with a laptop on a classic shape.

The company announced the first smartbook, the Skylight.
