"India can be solar power leader" said by Indian PM ,Manmohan singh

Indian Prime Minister Mr. Manmohan Singh Ji set out ambitious plans for that country in the world's leading solar power on Monday as the government launched an initiative to increase the use of technology.

Solar energy India to secure independence and tackling climate change, "said Singh, as well as new opportunities for the industry in a country with a crippling lack of power.

The National Solar Mission, launched Monday, could "establish India as a world leader in solar energy" in the following areas: energy production and production technology, Singh told business leaders and government officials.

"The rapid spread of solar lighting systems, solar water pumps, solar energy and other rural-based applications can change the face of rural energy," he said.

Solar mission is growing exponentially to reach 20,000 megawatts of solar capacity in the year 2022, reducing reliance on fossil fuels.

This amount would provide enough power 20 million homes, each received a kilowatt of energy.

Government figures showed more than 80,000 impoverished Indian villages didn't have access to the electricity network.

India currently produces nearly nine megawatts of solar power, data from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) compared to October.

The Prime Minister said India boasted some of the world's largest science and technology, and there was no revolution in the minds of nuclear energy, space and information technology.

"I am convinced that solar energy could be the next frontier in science and industry in India," he said.

Indian companies, which may qualify for one of the push Tata BP solar, which is a joint venture between Tata Power and BP Solar India and one of the leading solar distributors.

India for more than 15,000 megawatts of renewable power for all by the MNRE, more than 10,000 megawatts from wind power alone.
